Get to know Family Physician Dr. Linda Bastien, who serves patients in Brooklyn, New York.

Trusted family physician, Dr. Bastien, has over two decades of experience in her field. Since 2009, she has been in practice with Bedford Stuyvesant Family Health in Brooklyn, New York.

Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center that serves all the primary and specialty health care needs of adults and families in the heart of Central Brooklyn. The mission of the Center is “to provide the most professional, courteous and highest quality health care, with dignity, to those we serve, especially the underserved population, without regard for their ability to pay.”

Licensed to practice medicine in New York and New Jersey, Dr. Bastien is affiliated with Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, Kings County Hospital Center, Interfaith Medical Center, and Mercy Medical Center.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP), she is board-certified in family medicine by American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Bastien graduated with her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2000. She then went on to complete her residency in family medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. 

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
